Microbial air monitoring system uses a sieve impaction system based on the Anderson impaction principle, accepted and proven world-wide. Air is aspirated through a perforated lid with 488 holes. A radial fan, controlled by a flow sensor, accurately regulates air flow at 100 L/min .The air is impacted onto the surface of growth media in a 90mm petri dish. Microorganisms impact the media and the colonies are counted after the proper incubation period.
